Peter H. Helmer


Since 2004, Peter Helmer has created and implemented sales programs for clients in a variety of industries, including accounting, consulting, IT, graphic design, public relations, law, training, and marketing services.

He is a sales coach and an outsourced VP of business development.  He works with clients to get more leads and referrals.

Peter also regularly gives workshops to professional organizations and networking groups on branding and building a referral network. In addition, he writes the Business Development Blog.

Prior to 2004, Peter held senior business development positions with Reis, Inc., a provider of data to real estate investors, Vocal Link, a provider of messaging services, and with Prodigy Communications Corp. in White Plains, NY.

Peter holds a B.A. from Hobart College, a M.S. in Journalism from Ohio State University, and an MBA from Columbia University.  Peter is an adjunct professor of marketing at Long Island University’s Business School.
